so.. what's it about?
The inspiration behind Sugar & Spice came from a simple craving—not just for food, but for balance. I wanted a cookbook that truly reflected my needs: a hearty, soul-warming meal to fill my belly, followed by something sweet to satisfy the soul. Because let’s be honest, we all deserve dessert.
So, I created this book for people like me—home cooks who love good food but don’t have endless time or the patience for a mile-long ingredient list. We want satisfying, cozy meals, but we also want the joy of a perfectly baked treat. We crave a cheesy, salty, saucy plate of birria tacos, but we also need fluffy, tangy blueberry muffins to go with our tea. We want the fiery, bold heat of shito, Ghana’s legendary chili oil, just as much as we want a rich, gooey chocolate cake.
That’s why Sugar & Spice is packed with over 85 recipes designed to tantalize your taste buds and comfort your soul—whether you're in the mood for something sweet, savory, or a little bit of both.

In this exclusive class, we’ll be baking a brand-new, never-before-seen recipe straight from my cookbook!
The class will run for about two hours, starting with a quick hello before we dive into baking. While our creation is in the oven, I’ll be hosting a Q&A session, where you can ask me absolutely anything—about the book, baking, cooking, or even what my go-to midnight snack is! Then, of course, we’ll taste our freshly baked treat together.
